We Are Now At Dreamweaver Farms
We Need Your Help We have
a lot still to do on the kennels. We need to paint the exterior of the
kennel building. We have need of supplies. Paper towels, blankets, bleach,
dog food and anything else would be appreciated. With more dogs, we now
use more Frontline spray! With the building comes a monthly electricity
and water bill! If you would like to donate any supplies, gift cards or
money, please mail to: Carolina Poodle Rescue, 10901 Reidville Rd., Greer,
SC 29651. ANY help would be appreciated by the volunteers and the furry
ones.
Wish You Knew How to Help?
Carolina Poodle Rescue At The Growl Our local hockey team, the Greenville Growl, hosted
their 1st Annual Adopt-A-Dog event. At one of their games on March 11,
2006, they invited all of the local rescue groups to participate. It was
mostly for awareness. The fans were able to walk around to the different
booths set up by each group. The rescue group was able to bring in a couple
of their dogs for the fans to meet. This way, they could see if a particular
breed was right for them. We would like to thank our volunteers for their
time. Thank you (left to right), Janie Dillon, Beth Jancse, Donna Ezzell
holding Ginger, Ashley Reider holding Stoney, and Chris Reider.
Intake of Clarksville Tennesse Puppy Mill Dogs Recently in Clarksville, Tennessee, Animal Control
had to step in with a puppy mill breeder. The breeder had too many dogs
on the premises and was told to give up some. Carolina Poodle Rescue was
able to step in and get these dogs. There were a total of 51 dogs. 1 golden
retriever, 7 golden/labs, 5 Chihuahua's, 2 doxies, 2 shih tzus,
and a total of 34 poodles. All of the non-poodles were able to go to their
respective rescue groups. CPR kept 26 poodles while the remaining went
to Florida Poodle Rescue. Six of the poodles that we kept have already
been ADOPTED! Maria King, who is fostering a black female toy named Jenny,
is planning on adopting. She said that Jenny wouldnt have eye contact
with anyone for 23 days. The only thing she would come to them for
was to eat. Jenny had to be treated for ear mites and hookworms. She also
was in need of a good grooming. At this point, two weeks later, she is
gaining weight and has bonded with her family and the other family member,
a female toy poodle. Jenny has found her forever home. | |
